The Korean American Military Memorial Action Committee is dedicated to honoring the service of those who have sacrificed for our nation. Based in Los Angeles, we provide critical transitional housing, mental health support, and employment assistance to ensure that every veteran and individual has the opportunity to live with dignity and purpose.

Our Journey
From One Man's Vision to a Community Institution
1990s
The Beginning
Young Soo Lee, a Vietnam War veteran and Special Forces operative, begins informal support for fellow Korean American veterans struggling with addiction and PTSD.
2000s
KAMMAC is Founded
Formalized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, KAMMAC launches structured substance abuse counseling and community outreach programs.
2010s
Expanding Services
Transitional housing, veterans services offices, and mental health programs are added to serve a growing and diversifying community.
Today
A Community Institution
KAMMAC serves over 1,000 individuals annually across four core programs, partnering with county, state, and federal agencies.
